Whats your favorite board game?
My favorite board game of all time is the classic monopoly. I remember kicking my parents ass at it on a regular basis. I loved the game so much my mom actually would not let me play it for 2 months ( whole summer ) because I failed a couple subjects.
Re: Whats your favorite board game?
I like sorry its fast paced and can get a little intense if playing with poor sports LOL

Re: Whats your favorite board game?
My parents play that a lot. They do it with 2 sets each. Then I listen to them curse for 20 minutes at each other lol
Re: Whats your favorite board game?
Being the oldest of 6 kids growing up, I guess I've played every board game there is to play. Monopoly ranks right up there, but my all time favorite is Risk! For some reason, I am a master at the game!
I even have an online version downloaded today. Cool thread sam, Thanks!

I absolutely love risk as well. I always start from Australia and go from there. I win a lot too. We should perhaps face off in some online risk action !
Re: Whats your favorite board game?
I would have to agree - Risk is awesome!
What online sites do you play? I'd love to check them out.

Re: Whats your favorite board game?
Oh, mine would have to be Yahtzee! From a young age I just loved the feel of dice in my hand. That is a board game, right?? LOL Not sure if it is or not !
If it's not, then I'd have to say Scrabble. Always enjoyed words.

I like Yahtzee too but did yours come with a board and mine didn't? Have you ever heard of kismet? Yahtzee with colored dice so you can roll flushes and full house same color etc. I love it.

http://www.strategygamenetwork.com Hey Guys. Here is the link for where I play RISK against others online.
Now I have a confession of sorts. First, a disclaimer. I am 53, have had quadruple bypass surgery, I am totally sober, and never recommend drug use to anyone!
That being said, in the 70's we had a game. The coolest board game I've ever played to this day. It was called Dealer McDope! LOL
I am not kidding. You bought pot and coke in foriegn countries, then tried to return to the U.S. and sell it in American cities without getting robbed, killed, or busted! There were cards you played, you could rip off other players, bribe police etc. Depending on how you looked at it, you were penalized or rewarded for actions taken by having to actually smoke pot!
The last one to own a copy that I knew of, was my younger sister! I hope this doesn't offend anyone, as I said it was years ago in my youth, and I thought it would be funny to post here!

Re: Whats your favorite board game?
Well one of the drawbacks to a spirited (pun intended) youth is the fact that you burn a lot of brain cells. This results in memory loss later on in life! Kiddies take note! Lost a lot of weekends playing this or D&D! LOL
You moved around the board, bought the drugs, drew cards...there were 3 types Deals, Busts?, and Karmic cards! The latter were the funniest by far. Some were instant Karma, others you saved and layed on others when useful! Then if lucky enough you went and sold your stash! We played with a set time limit, freak with the highest money total won.
Here is an excerpt from the actual rules posted below, and always remember what McDope said:
" Dope will get you through times of no money, better than money will get you through times of no dope!"
"Leave Doobietown, U.S.A. and journey to an intriguing port of call, score caches of dope and return home anxious to sell. Sounds simple and it is – as long as karma, skill and the roll of the dice are on your side and you don't get hassled at any borders, ripped off by your partners or busted. Yeh, busted. Lots of dealers go to jail. In fact, there are 500 "busted gringos" sitting in Mexican jails right now.
Yes, dealing is a high risk / high gain situation. Remember all dealers play hard, but they don't all play fair. When in doubt ask yourself what McDope would do if he were there."

Re: Whats your favorite board game?
My favorite game is an old board game played with marbles called Aggrevation. The player who gets all their marbles home first wins. If you land on any of the other players marbles they have to start that marble back from home base. I also liked another marble board game called chinese checkers. I'm so old though alot of you younger people won't even know what I'm talking about!! LOL!!

Re: Whats your favorite board game?
Did Aggrevation have a Die in the middle with a bubble that you pushed and it popped to make the die roll?

Re: Whats your favorite board game?
Some of the newer versions had the bubble, The one I played on with my big brother and sister you had to roll the dice yourself.
